Interinstitutional Doctorate in Law

GENERAL OBJECTIVE

Train human resources with a high academic level, capable of carrying out original and innovative scientific research, of applying knowledge and carrying out quality teaching activities in the undergraduate and graduate studies in Law, to promote the development of legal science.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

• Train Researchers who develop legal research proposals at the regional and national level that enrich the scientific knowledge of Law.
• Train academic cadres to strengthen teaching in legal programs.
• Analyze epistemological-legal models to solve problems and achieve adequate proposals.
• Develop in the student the ability to critically evaluate the methodology and instruments applied in legal research in the line of research that has been chosen.
• Generate graduates with in-depth knowledge of the legal knowledge they develop.

GRADUATE PROFILE

The graduate of the Doctorate in Law program will acquire the necessary knowledge to:

• Develop original and innovative legal research works of quality.
• Offer solutions to specific cases related to legal issues.
• Master the specialized and frontier knowledge related to their line of training in the Doctorate program.

• Exercise leadership with research groups in Law.
• Apply the methodology of legal research to the problems of the area.
• Organize, advise and teach courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate level in legal sciences.
• Present and discuss their research work before specialists and disseminate them to broad social sectors.

• Act for the benefit of the global social environment by applying the knowledge and skills acquired.
• Participate with work teams in projects of the discipline or of a multidisciplinary nature.
• Carry out their activities in accordance with professional ethics.

• Teaching law in faculties and educational centers in the area.
• Specialized advice on legislative bodies.

• Consulting for specific issues with individuals, non-governmental organizations.
• In all types of institutions or organizations that generate regulations, such as legal affairs departments of companies or institutions that require the highest academic qualifications in law for their efficient operation.
