Introduction
Our LLB (Hons) Law with International Business four-year full-time degree will help you to start a career in the legal or international commercial sectors. As well as enabling you to progress to the next stage of legal training as a solicitor or barrister, it’s also a great choice if you want to move into a career outside of the legal sector as you’ll study a range of business modules that will make you employment ready. Each module is taught by experienced professionals from the worlds of law and business, giving you the practical outlook you’ll need for your career. The first year is a Foundation year, which focuses on developing an understanding of the legal sector and the key skills required to undertake the full degree course. Course Requirements
- Applicants are required to possess 48 UCAS Points from a maximum of 3 A Levels or equivalent qualifications, plus GCSE English Language at Grade C/4.
- Students who will be under the age of 18 but no younger than 17 at the commencement of the course are permitted.
- A non-standard application route is also available.
Route A (September 2022 entry)
- Applicants should demonstrate a minimum of 2 years of professional work experience evidencing management of people and/or processes and provide a professional reference. All applicants must successfully pass a formal interview. Any applicant without GCSE English language at grade C/4 will be invited to complete The University of Law English Test (ULET).
Route A (January 2023 and beyond)
Please note this route is only available for applicants who do not require a Student Route Visa to study with the University:
- Applicants who do not possess 48 UCAS points from a maximum of 3 A Levels or equivalent but can demonstrate a minimum of 2 years of professional work experience evidencing management of people and/or processes and provide a professional reference will be considered. Assessment
At the end of each semester, you’ll get a week for revision before two weeks of assessments.
- Exams: Two hours, ten multiple-choice questions and two long-form questions
- Coursework: Essay, project report or portfolio
- Oral presentation
We run mock assessments to allow you to practise before too.

Course Details
Full-time three-year Law with International Business
This course focuses on key legal topics and a variety of different aspects of international business practices. These include Human Resource Management, Marketing, Leadership and Strategic Management. It is designed to give you a well-balanced choice of subjects. You will study all of the required areas of law to receive a Qualifying Law Degree, as well as have a diverse range of international business modules.
Over 90% of our tutors are qualified lawyers, so you will learn to apply law and develop the practical skills employers are looking for today. To make sure that you have the skills to be versatile, we have also embedded important transferable skills in our courses. We want to make sure you feel confident that you can graduate and head straight into the workplace with the skills that employers are looking for.
With this course, you have the opportunity to choose to undertake a business research module in your third year. This double module offers you the chance to focus specifically on an aspect of international business that is of personal interest, allowing private research and study with the support and guidance of an allocated tutor.

This degree is designed for students who have an interest in international business as well as legal studies and wish to pursue a career in the legal and wider commercial sector, particularly on a global scale.
As with all our LLBs, this programme has a practical focus with the skills you need for your career embedded into the course. There is a high level of face-to-face tuition with experienced tutors to ensure that you receive all the support you need throughout your studies.
Foundation Year (Four years)
You can choose to take an additional Foundation Year before you start your LLB. This introductory year focuses on developing the key skills required to study at the degree level. You will study six modules and on successful completion progress onto any of our three-year degrees.
